so im not sure if this is worth mentioning but my friend irl is friends with magnus and he been asking me to set up a match with him lol, he even said i could get magnus to your doorstep :D I heavily declined on the grounds that i am merely an intermediate player at the moment, i would feel silly magnus coming all that way and not give him a proper challenge. So i told him id rather wait until i am strong enough to put up a good fight :)
Anyways, the only thing on my mind was that if i do get together with magnus i will eagerly recommend him to join lichess lol :D

Thanks thibault, I am definitely considering it, but im currently studying under lance, he has been very helpful but i feel that i still have a lot to learn, which is why id feel awkward to play magnus at the present time, but the offer will stand, as my friend has known him for a long time. So as soon as im ready i will take him up on that offer :D

#1 you think magnus will come to your house expecting a proper challenge?? Magnus, if he comes he will just want to show off, give you 15 move odds, queen odds, say some cool stuff etc
If you ever do play Magnus, confuse him by playing the Bongcloud. He won't know what to do and will promptly resign.
I lived in those 5+0 blitz tournaments trying to get the chance to play Wesley So just so I could play the Bongcloud against him...
