Lichess vs chess.com

Lichess has more users than chesscube. Now the fans come from other sites?

Can it destroy chess.com/?

Lichess may overcome chess.com, but not in the immediate future.

I don't think it will, but I do think lichess is the best place to play chess. 100 percent free means a lot.

Still a long way to go!

As a person who completely moved from chess.com to lichess.org, I think it is very possible that in 2 years time lichess will have more users than chess.com and I absolutely hope so!

In my opinion, what makes lichess so good isn't only the fact that it's free, but also that it's actively developed, and actively has features added. I played on fics for a while, but it bothered me that development was so stagnant -- the devs considered it "finished."

Chess.com's chief advantage is their domain name.

Yeah, lichess is much simpler yet a hell of a lot better. Much easier to just pick up a game and play with someone, on chess.com if you wanted to play with a friend, they'd have to create an account, log into live chess, have them say something in the chat just to add them to your friends list, then challenge them. Give it awhile

keep up the new fetures and you will do it lichess!

I think Lichess should have a better forum... Many people go to chess.com just for the forum (at least me)
The Lichess forum should give the oportunity to: show images; show chess games (like chess.com) and embed youtube videos; the possibility to edit the post afeer send will be nice to.

A quote feature would be nice as well.
