I wanted to attack. I had 1.5 minutes, opponent had 20 seconds. I saw that f4 move. Then played it. I won a queen and the game.

When you played f4 your opponent had 6 seconds left. You could have played Qxf6 and probably still won.
Yeah, an unexpected queen move would probably have led to an instant timeout..

Indeed, you should never speed up when your opponent is in time trouble. Chances are you blunder and your opponent takes advantage of it. Play as you would if he were not in time trouble.
