Road to GM - What happens when you face Hikaru in an online blitz game?

ChessAnalysisChess PersonalitiesTactics
To put it briefly: you will be crushed!

Well, obviusly it's a bit of an exaggeration itself, but I find it amazing how arguably one of the greatest blitz players ever manages to destroy most of his opponents while streaming the game and sharing his thoughts with the audience.

I was very happy when I got paired against Nakamura in a recent Titled Tuesday encounter. I consider myself to be a relatively strong International Master, having already beaten some 2700+ grandmasters in online blitz games, but I knew it would be a different story.
The game got off to a quiet start, but one mistake was enough for him to immediately decide the battle. Well, it wasn't really a battle: I didn't even get into the game, as I was crushed in 25 moves. Ladies and gentlemen, that's Hikaru Nakamura for you!
